I have replaced handle bars with stock buckhorns. Picture credit: AL Henninger.

Duel plug heads, electronic ignition, final belt drive, 4 speed trans. Heads ported and polished, modified oil bag with horseshoe tank. Many new parts, wheels, primary´s, re-wired and painted.

In 1983 my friend Odgie and I both bought 1983 FXWG`s.  He could never keep his running after 45,000 miles due to bad wiring and his desire to run it with points?

To make a point here he had a few tumbles with the bike at low speed due to a shorter left leg, he fell over a lot. I loved him as a brother and when he passed I bought his bike that was in several boxes from his family.  I have been close to this bike since 1983 when it was brand new.

Lots more to talk about as many of the mods he tried himself were bad ideas from the start, he cut the inner and outer primary`s into pieces and welded them together to try his own version of a twin belt drive solution, but due to his bad electrician skills he could not keep it running with duel plugs and points?  Crazy I know but if ya knew him you`d understand.  I have since had the bike rewired, rebuilt and many new parts installed to make it a strong, reliable and great running ride.
