Hello folks! I´m about 2 days away from buying a 1999 Fat Boy and already I´m getting some rather interesting comments from my ´well meaning´ friends. Bear in mind I´m getting off a 2000 Sportster (1200 custom) and need something bigger but I have a tight budget.

A.) How bad is the vibration? Worse than what I´m already used to? (the sporty is a solid mount engine.)
B.) I´m told it´s not a good touring bike. How true is this?

(Bear in mind this is from the Road King riders. I think they just want me to get a bike like them!)
