I too am just starting to work on my RD350. I have been cleaning the thing for a week now and still have a little to go. The coil springs polished up like new as well as the drum brake cover, chain, front forks, wheels, and engine head, all of which you can see your face in with the exception of the chain. The seat is shot and my wife is making a new one with leather cover. The engine runs fine and strong as far as I know. The rear brakes were seized and I was able to fix that as the rear brake is totally simple. Just a handful of parts. The electrical I am saving for after clean up. I am just making sure to get the thing roadworthy and ride it for awhile before going back to do a total frame-off resto. When that happens we are going to make some upgrades to the ignition with unit from RDDREAMS.com. If you havent been there they have a ton of original equipment to fix up your bike. I am definitely interested in hearing about your project. Nobody on here seems to write anything and that is a shame. Be effusive.
