Ignition Problem

Awile back my bike was only running on one cylnder. I found the plug wire had been burned back so I stripped it back and everything was fine for awhile. This happened several times before niether cylnder would fire. I replaced the ignition coil and it was fine again for about 2 weeks. Before I try to replace the coil again I was wondering if something else could be causing the problem with the ignition coil
