I bought a 1972 orange H-I brand new, out the door, for $1000.00 at the time. I´ve had a lot of bikes since then, but this one made me a Kawasaki believer for life! Bike was doggy and got poor mileage when set up at factory specs...but, remove the air intake snorkel, take off the fiberglass baffle wrappings and drill a 3/8 inch hole in the baffles, then set up the ignition timing to the previous CDI specs and then hold on! My mileage went into the mid to high 30´s and the bike ran like the earlier CDI versions I had driven. I wish I never sold it!
