I agree with the other post about the top speed numbers being off. I routinely ran the bike up to 125 and verified the speeds with a stopwatch over a set distance. The bike screamed easily up to 115-120 but took a little longer to get the rest of the way. The bike also handled rock solid in the corners (after installing a swing-arm kit). It was a fun time - 30 years later my 500 still sits in my garage, though it hasn´t been out in 20 years.
