I own a 95 fatboy that I bought brand new in 95. The original dash hold by the bolt in the center. If the custom dash hold over it, you must find the way to remove the custom dash and after remove the bolt. For your speedo knob, you need a very small star screwdriver to remove the little screw at the center of the knob. I have 50,000 kilometers on my bike and never had any problem. Never been at the garage except for tires. I am a mechanic and I do all the maintenance myself. I am now 60 years old and I am going to die with that bike. I am driving motocycles for 42 years and this is the best bike I never had. All my friends have all kinds of new Harley and all kind of problems while I have only to enjoy the ride. By the way, my bike is original and when I clean it nice, everybody think it´s brand new. Kept heated at 70 degres for 16 years, 365 days a year et never driven in the rain. Never went over 110 kilometers per hour or over 3000 rpm. and oil changed every 2500 kilometers with harley oil. I consider myself very lucky to have a nice & good bike like that.
