I am considering an 2001 F650 for commuting but I am concerned about wind/rain protection during the winter months. I live in middle Tennessee and rode a 2003 R1150RT until now. I am spoiled by the protection of the RT and want to know if by adding accessories (tall windshield etc.) I can stay out of the elements on the 650. The bike has heated grips and hand guards.
You suggestions and experience are appreciated.
