Been riding xt´s for over 30 years. My xt660 r now has over 132000 miles on it and the same camchain. Lots to mention but wont bore u. One thing u should know is the cush drive rubbers from new r too small. U have to add four and a half millimeters total of rubber to each of the four segments. Since doing that they have lasted 13000 miles & still going strong with no wear or movement. The engine is the best yet but the electrics are crap. Don´t forget although the engine will cruise at 80-85 if u want it to last don´t do over 70, it´s not built for it. The rims don´t last, corrode from the inside no matter how u look after them & the spokes will break. Alf Hagon do rims & stainless spokes if ur inclined. Thats all for now, its been a long day.
