I bought a new battery for the bike and it is a modern high cranking one, fixed a few issues like not starting! Although it was listed as an aftermarket replacement for the 1986 Suzuki Cavalcade gv1400, it did not come with a sensor port, and now the gear indicator on the panel has been replaced with a battery indicator light. Is there any way to defeat this sensor (I will monitor the battery constantly anyway) so that I can have the gear indicator back?
