I have the 2009 efi model.I had similar problems I found out that the spark plugs were very dirty and put new plugs in problem solved.another time had problem taking off and stalling the idle speed should be about 1150 sometimes it drifts up or down if the idle is say 900 the bike will stall on takeoff also dont give the throttle a quick turn when first starting the bike up just start it up and let it idle with a throttle burst the on board computer reads this and tries to adjust and may change the idle setting which creates problems later . this could lead to a mapping problem in other words the computer has to be re ajusted or remapped according to the want of the bike and how it is used.there could be other problem such as air box but look at simple things first maybe water or dirt in petrol for example.these are just things i have found out by reading and talking to triumph mechanics . best of luck
