I am 65 yrs old. I had a red ´85 Maxim 10 yrs ago. Had to sell it. Found a mostly basket bike in TX and after 3 months it is running great and looks nice. Few things to do as far as cosmetics - ignition coil covers and air box covers and some chrome polishing.

Fast as all get-out. Love the bike - can´t sell this one. Too good. Also have a Kawasaki Vulcan ´06 900 cc Classic LT. Like the Maxim better.
