The specs were pretty optimistic back in those days! An 11 stone rider in leathers could do about 15seconds for a standing quarter on a really well prepared bike. In street clothes with standard bars you would be lucky to see 90mph but in racing trim with leathers on a still day you could just reach 100 mph.That is about 8000rpm in top (6th)gear
