The R model was the 1971 version. They were all called Rebels. There was little real difference between the 71 and 72 models .The 70 models has smaller tanks as did early 71 models. All the 1972 J models had bigger squarer tanks a, bigger tail lights, angled head fins and and were either blue or orange. Often brand new bikes did not have matching engine and frame numbers. There were a lot of small cosmetic changes such as indicators, speedo /tachometer designs, covers to rear shocks etc.WEll preped a T350 R or J should do about 100mph (about 110mph on the speedo!Standing quarter was about 15 seconds for an 11 stone rider.14 seconds for a short 8 stone rider.
