Hi Cory, I have an 05 Dakar and am very happy with it. I´ve only done a couple of long day rides both of around 450km but they have been on rough dirt roads and i have found the general ergonomics of the bike very good. The windscreen works well, even at high speed and the vibration level is good especially for a big single. I average around 22-24km/lt at around 120km/hr and that´s with a pillion. the seat gets a bit hard after a couple of hours and a sheep skin seat cover would be worth it´s cost I reckon. Good luck with the trip. Regards Lee
