It´s designed for countries that have limitations on probationary drivers(eg. Australia). Honda made a 250cc Magna for a few years already and I owned a 1997 model when I was required too not have an engine larger than 250cc. It was basicly the only option to go when you consider bikes that small, either this or the Virago(girls bike) or some crotch rocket.

At least it gives newbies to motorbike riding something to look forward too and it has made me to buy more Honda bikes in the past.

This is a great bike to learn on(tho only required for 1-2 months).
