I had problems with mine too. Check to see if there are any leaks in the carburettor inlet manifolds. Also... Ensure that there is no rust dust inside the fuel tank as mine had that problem and I discovered it after a few months of owning it. Symptoms include: Lumpy running at high revs followed by engine cutting out eventually and overheating; will start up after a few minutes as normal and then same problem persists a bit further down the road. You need to empty the tank and use a special sealant called Cream or Creme to seal out the corrosion and remove the carburettors and remove the offending dust from the fuel lines and carb inlet strainers or you´ll have nothing but aggro with it. I bought my Radian in 1995 but traded it for an FJ1200 after 16 months. It was a great bike to own but I spent so much time tinkering with it that in the end I got sick of it, but, I wouldn´t mind owning another but now have a ZX9R. |
