Midrange carb issue

Midrange carb issue

I have a lag when accelerating hard in the midrange. When choked in midrange it takes off like a rocket. The jet needles are two short ones and two long ones. I tried shimming them up but it didn´t seem to help. What are the best jet needles to use? Stock pipes with no mods. Carbs recently rebuilt. Slightly larger pilot. Starts great, idles great.
