On these bikes if adjusting throttle free play follow Yamaha procedures. When I got my bike if you turned the handlebars to the right, the rpm went from 1300 to 3500 almost instantly. Instant wreck if I had not caught it. I turn my wheel to the right set the free play and then start it up turning the handlebars back and forth to make sure rpm doesn´t increase.
