Oil Leak

I have a 1986 yamaha radian. I put in too much oil on the last oil change and now theres a leak out the drive/sprocket shaft. I ordered a new o-ring, seal, and bearing housing, but I´m still lost as what I´m supposed to do to fix it. The diagram on cheapcycleparts doesn´t seem to fit in on the bike. Any tips? ideas? help? I´d really like to get the problem fixed and get riding again.
