eh gents, perhaps you guys can give me some insite here. bought a 77 ct125 the other day for a hundred bucks, looked like new, and started right up. I´m a grown adult, but figured a cheap toy so my son would have someone to ride with on his little pw80, at least this one was big enough for me to sit on lol. Anyways, it´s been running great, till this morning when i loaded them up to take him out to the trails, She started up fine, but when i popped into second gear, she stalled, went to kickstart again, but no/little tension on the kickstart, in otherwords, i didnt feel compression, at first i thought something with the kickstart disengaged, so i tried to push start, but does the same thing in gear, when rolling in gear, it sounds like a bad bearing or some sorts. Havnt done much else to it, cause to be honest, wouldnt know what i´m looking for (funny thing is, i build rat choppers and bobbers, but i start with good motors, i can do simple stuff like clutches and stators and such, but never got deep into a motor, no idea how to set timing or where tdc is, but i figure this little motor shouldnt be too difficult to learn on). Also, I see this is the same motor as the cb125, tl, ct, xl, so I´m curious if i shouldnt just keep my eye out for another bigger motor. Whats the biggest motor that would easily bolt right into this existing without modification? a cb175?? a 200?, and would the mounts line up for seamless bolt and go? I see theres a main bearing on ebay for this for 10 bucks, does this sound like a main bearing problem??

Any advice or education is very helpful gents, and much appreciated.
