Hey Leon, It sounds like you are quite sports bike orientated! I agree that the heat issue is not such a big problem as has been said so far. The throttle response on my 05 ST is spot on. I would suggest there is a problem with yours if there is a flat spot. It should be smooth all through the rev range. I am a little confused about your corner braking technique. I´ve never heard of using the front brake in a corner. I always believed (from experience!) that if you apllied the front brake in a corner the bike will stand up and go straight. I do use the rear brake in corners from time to time. Perhaps you can explain the use of the front brake further? I would be interested to hear your experience with the panniers. Mine arrive in three weeks. Brett.
