MT01 - Colour schemes

I am in the process of buying a new MT01 and depite being brand new, I am not sure if it is a 2005 or a 2006 model.
I´ve noticed that the colour is purple (?)

Could anybody tell me if the colour scheme helps identify the year of the model.
