I am thinking about buying an R6 but recent events have me questioning the purchase. I am going to use the bike mostly around my house, riding on the Ortega or going down to cook´s corner. But now I may drive up to Oakland, which is a 4-500 mile drive from here. These trips wouldn´t really be so often that they would require more of a touring bike, but would be fairly often. Is the R6 a smart buy? I looked at the 600R hoping to compromise a little, but it didn’t really impress me. I want the R6 as I have said, but I’m torn because I don’t want to be overly uncomfortable on the trip and I am looking for some suggestions.
