BCR manufacture data |

I’ve had two ‘04 BCRs. One had a “number of 300” plaque, the other didn’t. Neither seller (to me) had any reference materials. The Vin numbers of these two BCRs were 41-numbers apart. Both imported through Chicago. BMW, Germany could tell me nothing. My local BMW dealer was able to download BMW build info. The code/part numbers are unintelligible without a key. Both bikes had the same “optional equipment ex works” list: 0358 SU SPECIALIST MODEL CLASSIC 0425 PA SPECIALIST MODEL 0547 SA SPORTS SUSPENSION 0588 SA TURN INDICATOR WHITE 0602 SA REAR SEAT COVERING 0645 SA ABS INTEGRAL 0691 SA W/O SPONSORING STICKER 0779 SA WIDE TIRE Before the two BCRs, I had an ‘04 R1100S. It had amber turn indicator lens and narrow rear rim/tire so the above options do make some sense. Both BCRs had no belly pan graphics which jives with the “W/O SPONSORING STICKERS” although a sheet of stickers was included with one of the BCRs. |
