Tony, Congratulations! These are -excellent bikes and I hope you derive as much enjoyment out of yours as I´ve had with mine. First, what year Aero did you get? Color? Any plans for modifications? There are a -tremendous- number of available aftermarket accessories available for the Aero to make them perform better, more comfortable on long rides and to add that custom touch to the appearance. To date, the best resource I´ve found for tehnical information on our bikes, as well as first-hand owner experiences riding, modifying and maintaining these scooters is the Aero 750 Forum on Delhphi forums. Enter searchword delphi forums and check it out. Great group of people there and more knowledge there..You´ll have to register but the forum is free.. A couple good resources for aftermarket parts include "Cruiser Customizing" (.com) and "mean Cycles"(.com). Both are excellent reputable organizations and excel at customer service. If you need leather gear (and you should have helmet, gloves, chaps and Jacket), try Branson wholesale (.com)Not long ago they had a deal going where you could get a leather jacket and chaps for about $100. and they gave you gloves and a cap for free. More good people to deal with who respect and appreciate their customers. If your bike has a stock exhaust there´s a few things you can do to improve performance like rejetting but it´ll generally impact economy a little. Our bikes have relatively small fuel tanks and the owner´s manuals tell you to fil the tank to the bottom of the inner neck. I´l tell you that you can get almost a third gallon more in the tank if you take your time and top it off. It can make the difference of another 20-30 miles of range. LEARN about your bike. Being a bicycle mechanic you already know about the value of a quality technical manual for info you can´t obtain elsewhere. This new Aero is no exception. Save your money and spring for the -HONDA- shop manual. They´re approx. $50 from the dealer and will save you many times that amount in grief and tips on how to do things yourself, correctly. Any more questions, ask away. Hope to see you in the delphi aero 750 forum! |
