Julie I own the same 2005 Retro Honda motorcycle and what I found is you need to let it warm up for say 3 minutes with the choke out most of the way...especially if the temperature drops below 70F or so and your starting a cold engine. After the 3 +/- minutes elapses you should gradually move the choke back inward to the normal position. I have not have any bucking at all if started this in this manner as was advised to me by my dealer when he delivered it. I should point out that I ALWAYS get bucking for the first 3 miles or so if I do not let it warm up w/the choke out as mentioned above, with a cold engine. Hope you find this helps. Ed
