On the first few hundred 2002 1800C´s, the factory installed the ground wires from most electrical components to the ground points on the frame without first grinding off the powder coating paint from the frame, and they used connectors made of dissimilar metals, which causes galvanic corrosion and a loss of electrical continuity. I´m going to redo all of the grounds and use sealer after, on my bike. There is also a problem with the routing of the main battery ground cable getting pinched by the swing arm. I hope this is helpful. |
