Been looking at a couple of pre-owned ST´s and was wondering what the downsides were to this bike. I am wanting something that will provide good long-distance, 2-up touring without going the bloated, couch-potato route of a Gold Wing or other full-blown touring rigs. I´ve heard the bike is heavy, not great on gas (premium only to boot) and it will fry your left leg on hot days. Beyond that, I´m a bit intimidated by all the high-tech stuff. Has anybody had expensive electrical issues on this bike? The ones I have seen are in the $8500-$9000 range with 18k and 17k miles, respectively. What should I look for and what can I expect with this bike? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
