Kick stand! Watch out!

I love my ZRX, but!!, be careful with the kickstand! My bike has fallen over twice and both times in my garage (no damage to bike, been lucky). The first time against my car,(good size dent), second time on me when I just move it up a bit to get to my lawn mower. I almost got my foot broke trying to hold it up! Anyway, I wish Kawasaki had put a better locking kickstand on this bike. It´s to heavy to hold up if the stand doesn´t lock. I have engine guards on my bike so that protects the engine. Anyone out there have a solution! Is there any after market kickstands or modifications out there for this problem?
