The RoadKing sits a little further forward. The seat might make you feel like you are a little higher. Secondly the triple tree is forward of the forks on the touring models such as the Road King. For only a few hundred dollars the Road King gives you a windshield and $1000 hard bags. Not hard to take, but all together a different bike than the Fatboy.
