I am getting ready to paint the tank on a dyna low rider. However, I am having trouble figuring out how to disconnect the fuel guage wires. They are soldered in on the fuel cap end and I don´t see a way to pull them from the clip on the bottom end. Does anyone know how to remove the cap/wires assembly from the tank without clipping the wires?

Thank you.
