Dear Ghost Rider,
The C50 and the M50 are very similar. It comes down to what you want. I myself was stuck in the same dilemma when I was ready to buy a bike last month. I did some research and called around. The C50 has that classic, big cruiser look, while the M50 looks like a cruiser with an attitude. The only major differences is there is a more sporty fork on the M50, black paint instead of chrome, cut off fenders, and it is two pounds lighter than the C50. I decided on a C50 because it already had floorboards (great for long trips), and I wanted to start off with a bike that I would not get sick of after a couple months of riding. I bought it up in Waupun, Wisconsin from Extreme Motor sports and took an 850 mile break-in cruise to my home, saving $1,000 because m.s.r.p. is $6,800 and they gave it to me for $5,800. I figured $1,000 off is worth a little road trip. (It was a blast) I sure love the bike. The fuel injection makes it a worthwhile investment too. Since I like both bikes so much I might consider eventually buying a C50 too for when I want a little more performance out of my Sunday afternoon cruise!
