scarred up slider on variable venturi cause leanout?

Soaked carburetors and all internal parts in ultra-sonic sound cleaner, hot soapy solution. spots of teflon coating came off floating variable venturi pistons. Can this cause a lean out condition at lower to mid speed ranges? Only way bike will run is with enrichener on full choke. I have been completely through these carbs twice, with air and carb cleaner in a spray can. Near as I can tell, all passages and jets are clear. Sliders seem to float freely with finger. Any suggestions?
