I recently purchased this bike it´s a 2004 with 1600 original miles in stock condition. And I´m wondering about the power and performance of these motorcycles. I have had numerous bikes over the years but mostly inline 4 cylinders example a Suzuki GS750TD which has alot of power.But my questions are when I´m riding this bike it seems to not have alot of power and I´m noticing alot of vibration if I get on it and bring the rev´s up so I´m kinda disappointed any suggestions? Think this sounds normal or possibly I need a tune up or maybe the timing maybe off? I mean 800 CC should provide some decent power. The previous owner said the carb my be alittle gummed up. Just trying to get some ideas here. I like the look and feel of the bike and think I could be happy with it if it had more power. Also would putting on Cobra type slip on´s and jetting the carb help any? And if so how much? Any ideas would be appreciated.
