Phil,
The OEM exhaust doesn´t disassemble easily.
What my son and I tried to do was to take an OEM setup and drill out the stck baffles with a 1/2" drill bit and drill extension.
We never actually installed it on either of our ´05s but it IS doable.
Depending on how many baffle holes you punch, you´ll likely need to re-jet the carb.
Consider an aftermarket exhaust; spendy I know but you can only go so far with stock components.
