Hi, had mine for just about a year now and have never had a problem even since I´ve fitted shorter rear shocks (originals rotted out!) which should make make the problem even worse. Just have to be careful every time you park up: lean the bike slightly away from the stand, kick it hard forward, then rest the bike on it. I normaly drag the bike back slightly to make sure the stand´s locked in place. Just a habit you need to get into. Oh... and keep the mechanism well lubed - tends to pick up a lot of road dirt from the front wheel.
