Reduce the height for shortarses (like me at only 5`5") by rotating the circular chain adjuster 180 deg and by raising the forks in the tripletrees by 20cm. This actually makes the tiger handle a hell of a lot better on the roads with greatly improved steering. Be prepared to replace the rubber chain guide more often though, especially if riding two-up a lot. Wind buffet can be improved slightly, especially with the larger touring screen, by removing the rubber edging trim and wind buffet can be significantly removed by taking the screen off altogether! Removing the mirrors helps it further but is not good for keeping a clean driver`s licence. Genuine brake/clutch levers cost $70(aust) but kwaka gpz900 levers are a perfect fit and cost $11 for pattern ones. Triumph panniers are top quality, but only buy the side ones, get a givi or monokey top box which matches well and fits ok but is a fraction of the price. The centre stand is excellent and worth the money. Make sure the dealer has got the headlight adjusted correctly before you collect the bike, because it is a pig of a job which involves removing half the front end of the bike. Most comfortable tourer I have ever owned and have done 1100km in a day on it with no physical discomfort whatsoever. |
