Hi
I´m a 39 year old Ducati driver from Sweden. I bought a Ducati ST2 in 2003 and have had the opportunity to test the bike during three seasons. I hate to say it, bu my general opinion about the ST2´s reliability and perfomance is not very good. It looks good and is an excellent bike for touring on public highways and main roads but absolutely crap on narrow streets and in city traffic because of its sad performance on low revs. It is a must to replace the original front pinion with a smaller one to improve the driveablility in slow traffic. I also think it is heavy to manouver. I have had several problems with the bike. First the revolution counter stopped working, then valve springs on one cylinder broke. Later on oil started to leak when a gasket in the cylinder broke. That, together with a general feeling that I cannot rely on the bike and expensive maintenance costs made me sell it.
