Starting with low battery?

I would like to find a way to turn off the lights if I needed to bump start the bike with a low battery. Having the lights always come on with the ignition could make the difference between getting it started or not. I get in some remote areas and this concerns me.

I wish that Yamaha had continued to put a back-up kick starter on this bike.
