Hi Rick- My 2002 FLSTFI (full-stiffy...) had the exact same problem, same mileage, same conditions. I had the primary gasket replaced a couple times, but the problem remained *UNTIL* the third time, when the gasket was replaced WITH A RUBBERIZED-METAL gasket. It turns out that Harley made a design change because of the leak, and replaced the paper-based gaskets with the new rubberized metal, which expands with the heat along with the case cover & doesn´t leak. I´ve had it up to 110MPH in the Arizona heat and still no leaks -- the third time was the charm. -cp |
