Yes they will. The only thing you have to worry about is the length of the steering tube on the CR vs the length of the steering tube on your XR. If they are different, you will have to machine a spacer. I put 86 CR forks on my 96 XR, and only needed a flat washer to make up the difference. (96 XR is exactly the same as 02 XR F.Y.I)
