Sputters at 70mph and then get worse

Looking for ideas... Within the last 2 days my 750 spirit has developed a sputter when rolling on the throttle. I can go for hours at 40-50 mph but once I reach 70 mph for longer than 10 min she delvelops a sputter and then continues to get worse. Could oil blow back into the air filter cause this? I had my bike serviced about a month ago (at a Honda dealer) and I think they added too much oil. Also.. how do I remove oil in order to get to the right measurement?
Thanks for your help
