The tool kit is usually in a vinyl-type pouch inside a small compartment behind the chrome (plastic) cover below the seat on the left side of the bike. (Just firmly pull on both sides of the cover until it pops off. The owner´s manual is typically in there as well often inside a ziplok type pouch. The little door uses the key to open it. If it is missing, ask a local dealer to find one for you. They gave me a spare kit. The helmet holder is located on the left side of the bike between the passenger seat and the rear wheel. But a cheap extension to use with your helmet and it will be a lot easier to use without banging the fender and shocks with your helmet.
