power loss at steady rpm
power loss at steady rpm

first of all, my bike runs fine 99% of the time. just when i keep the rpm´s steady for more than 10-20 min like on the freeway it will have power loss. i can pull in the clutch, rev up to about 4500 to 5500 rpm´s and it will be fine, most of the time it will backfire. when i say power loss i mean that i´ll be doing about 80 or 90 (and one time at 45mph )and it will just start losing speed. i´m going to start with all the easy stuff that i can do myself like the air filter and plug´s but i don´t want to take it to the shop and get ripped off cause i don´t know too much about bike´s. my friend thinks it flooding but i do tend to question his opinion cause it never floods out any other time, and it don´t have problems starting or staying running. just wondering if anyone knows whats my problems is before i get ripped off at a mechanics shop!
