No problem Dog... i had only ever seen an 83 in that paint scheme before and it had factory brass accents including headlight visor, coil cover, handlebar clamp and if memory serves, the dash had brass or gold bezels instead of the schrome ones. It was here in Canada and i was told it was a Dealer Award Sturgis, one the Deeley of Canada had modified for one of its Canadian dealers. 5 produced so i was told. Deeley also told me that my 82 Canadian edition ( red with gold, gold anodized rims) was one of 49 factory custom sturgis produced in that year. i had only ever seen three of them(82 canadian ed´s) in person, one in Sturgis in 82, and two in Canada tho i saw one for sale recently in Saskatoon. No offense here dog, just good discussion especially when its difficult to get a straight answer from the factory!
