I am a proud owner of a 1983 GPZ 1100 zx A2 from brand new out the box until this day. I am living in Cape Town South Africa and up and till now the bike has gone through one exhaust valve and one computer,(not bad considering I go to quite a few bike bike rallies in and around our country)
My problem now is, the bike switches itself on and off whilst I´m riding and when I slow down to a stop street the bike cuts out, but I see the fuel tank monitor is still on? sometimes the bike completely cuts out and stays off for a while, then without warning it comes back on again. My DFI computer is flashing a code but it´s been doing this for years, my battery shows 14V whilst riding.
Is it maybe 1)IC igniter 2)power supply to the coils 3) computer 4) bad fuel or both electric. I have lost my copy of the computer flash codes, I would really appreciate it if someone could e-mail me a copy of the codes.
Thank you for at least reading my dilemma. A foto of my bike will follow soon.
Cheers Guys
