If its for repair get the Haynes manual for Harley-Davidson sportster 1970-2000 it contains full break down for-

XL - XLH - XLCH Hugger - Sportster - Deluxe 883cc 1970 - 71 1980 - 86 XL - XLX-61 - XLH - XLCH - XLS Sportster - Roadster - Anniversary 997cc 1972 - 85 XL - XLH Sportster 1100cc 1986 - 87 XL - XLH Sportster 1200cc 1988 - 00 Note: XR-1000

My Father and I are just finished restoring a XLX and found this very useful.
