96 Dr Suzuki 350 shifting problem

96 Dr Suzuki 350 shifting problem

I have a problem shifting my bike. I can go through gears but it wont stay in gear. A guy told me it more then likely the spring that on gear shifter inside crankcase. Has anyone had this problem and is it easily fixed through crank case oposite side of clutch. Please help
