I put forward controls on my 87 sportster, it makes a huge difference. Just about any aftermarket controls from any H-D custom parts company will work. The only changes that may have to be made would be the exhaust depending on how it is set up. I had to change my 2 into 1 exhaust into a 2 into 2 drag set in order for the front pipe to not interfere with the brake pedal. But like i said it might not be necessary for your setup and i highly recommend the switch, it makes for a much nicer ride.
